Menjangan Island FAQ

Menjangan Island water temperatures are consistently warm, ranging from 27 °C to 30 °C (81 °F to 86 °F) year-round.

Calm conditions and excellent visibility make Menjangan Island ideal for all skill levels. Moderate currents are possible at some sites. Seasonal winds may prevent access to the south or north side of the island, but we can shelter and dive or snorkel on the calm side in these cases.

Expect spectacular coral walls, reef sharks, turtles, schooling fish, nudibranchs, electric clams, loads of reef fish, and the occasional pygmy seahorse, frog fish, or a rare whale shark sighting!

No, night dives are not permitted at Menjangan Island, but we can take you for night dives near the mainland.

Yes, Menjangan Island has two places to visit (POS 1 and POS 2). POS 1 has more facilities and walking paths, whereas POS 2 has a very small beach and a path for locals to reach the temple to pray (it is not open to the public).

Yes, there are toilet facilities at Menjangan Island’s POS 1 and POS 2 areas.

No, Menjangan Island is part of Taman Nasional Bali Barat (West Bali National Park), and is only open for day tours. All guests stay on the mainland and reach Menjangan Island via day boats.
